Activities For The Whole Family
As the weather grows colder and Thanksgiving turkey dominates the minds (and stomachs) of young and old, there is no shortage of activities for the whole family in and around Shipshewana, Indiana. For those with an eye for sales, the “Wana Night Out” on November 30, 2010, takes place through the town of Shipshewana. It is a day of special discounts at most stores.
For those with a creative side, a gingerbread house contest will take place on November 26 through December 3, 2010. Submit an entry and you may find your creative masterpiece on display in downtown Shipshewana! One lucky gingerbread house will be awarded the People’s Choice Award. As well as cash prizes.
Also, be sure to check out the amazing hand-crafted quilts from our friends at the Amish Quilt Shop. Each quilt is handmade by the women of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and boasts remarkable craftsmanship. Visit their site and click the “quality” link for more info on the one-of-a-kind dedication. Therefore revealing how each quilt is made.
